There is no denying that Klaus is a stunning man, beautiful in every way, and Obi-Wan desires him, though he knows there are Jedi who would say he mustn't. Such things have always been out of Obi-Wan's reach, the utter sense of detachment he knows he's meant to feel, and here in Darrow he needn't reach for it like he used to. Instead, he can allow himself to enjoy this life.

But when he reaches the bed, he puts his arm around Klaus and flips him onto his back. He makes a pretty picture, of course, but Obi-Wan wants to look at him, wants to see him.

"Like this," he says. "I need to look at you."
