While Klaus doesn't want or expect pity when he brings up his childhood, it means a lot that Obi-Wan cares about what he went through. While he doesn't want Obi-Wan to be angry, the small flicker of it in his eyes makes Klaus feel care for and understood. It makes him feel known, which is scary and comforting all at once.
His eyebrows lift and Klaus smiles, cupping Obi-Wan's cheek and giving the corner of his mouth a lingering, grateful kiss.
