The window slides open and Klaus wriggles happily as Obi-Wan's arm curls around him. There was a time in his life where he would have happily taken advantage of such powers, but then again, maybe not. Not if it were Obi-Wan. He could never be terrible to Obi-Wan, he thinks. Not in any life.

Klaus curls his arm around Obi's waist under the blankets, blinking at him sleepily as Obi touches his face, looking at him like he's something so special, like there is nowhere else he would rather be in the world, and Klaus can relate. He has never known such peace. Even with as happy as Dave made him, there was never peace, not in the midst of a war. That was the price he paid to be with Dave. Ever day, he had to make the conscious decision to stay in that horrible war zone, risking his life to wield a weapon that he hated just to be with the man that he loved.

Dave was worth all of that, and Klaus doesn't regret any of it, but he can't deny that this is better. There is no war, no sacrifice, no price to pay to be with Obi-Wan. In some ways, opening himself like this again is terrifying, but being with Obi-Wan is easy. There is no alternative in Klaus's mind, no scenario where he doesn't end up right here, with him.

"I'm not sure that I'll ever get used to hearing that," he admits, smiling warmly, eyes crinkling at the corners as he stares at Obi-Wan with open fondness.
