"You're welcome," Klaus says, because Obi-Wan seems so genuinely pleased by the gift. It isn't about the pants, he knows. It's that Klaus thought of him at all, and Klaus understands that feeling. He still remembers how it felt to discover that Obi-Wan had bought the coffee that he liked, just so that it would be available for him.

Klaus reaches for the tacos, but pauses to look up at Obi-Wan when he speaks. The last thing he wants to do is have Obi-Wan regretting what he's said. Sure, maybe it wasn't the ideal place, but that's okay. He said it because he really wanted to, because he just couldn't help himself, and given that Obi-Wan who carefully weighs his words, it just makes it all that more special.

"I wish I had reacted better," Klaus admits, biting his lip as he fiddles with the knot on the take out bag. "It just took me by surprise. But-- thank you. For saying it."

He chuckles a little self-consciously and looks up at Obi-Wan from under his lashes. "And for, you know. Meaning it."
