Truly, Obi-Wan doesn't expect or require anything in return. He's told Klaus what he feels because he has reflected on the choices he's made in the past, the things he didn't say when he thinks he ought to have, and he knows going forward he doesn't want to make these same mistakes. The people in his life, not only Klaus, deserve better.
It's more difficult with Anakin, perhaps because of their history. They've never been especially good at speaking their minds or their hearts with one another and while Obi-Wan is trying, it's easier with someone who doesn't have that history with him.
Klaus deserves to know. Obi-Wan is glad to have told him.
He's smiling happily when they move toward the exit, still holding Klaus's hand. It feels not quite as if a weight has been lifted, but as if he's shared a part of himself that isn't often shared and it feels rather nice.
