Klaus was thinking about that taco truck that's sometimes parked near the house, and if Obi-Wan might want to spend the night at his place tonight, but he's distracted by the way that Obi-Wan smiles at him, soft and fond as he's ever seen it.
And then Obi-Wan just... tells Klaus that he loves him. At first, Klaus assumes that he must have heard him wrong, but no. The look on Obi-Wan's face matches what Klaus heard, and he feels his whole body flush with heat. The music, the crowd, all of it falls away for a moment as blood rushes between Klaus's ears.
He wasn't expecting this. He wasn't prepared for it. He has no idea how to respond to it. For a long moment, he just stands there and stares, flushed and wide-eyed, idiotically gaping like a fish.
"What?" He yells loudly, just as the music cuts out to shift to another track. People turn to look at him and Klaus ducks his head, because people aren't supposed to see him like this, so... affected. So surprised. Only Obi-Wan is supposed to see him like this, and he doesn't know what to do after being given this-- this gift in the middle of a crowd. "I--"
Klaus has no idea what to say. Well, that isn't true. He knows exactly what to say, but he can't do it here, not in front of everyone. He gives Obi-Wan a helpless look and then grabs his hand, dragging him towards the exit of the club, because he needs fresh air. And less of an audience.
